Located within the greater Secwépemcúl’ecw (Secwépemc / Shuswap Traditional Territory), the Columbia River Basin is the home and Caretaker Area of Shuswap Band. As the caretakers, Shuswap Band works to ensure the lands and resources, and prosperity of its people and communities are cared for throughout this region. Shuswap Band also ensures neighbouring Secwépemc communities are collaborated with where interests are shared.
