Kenpesq’t Territorial Operations Ltd. (KTO) is a growing group of Indigenous economic development companies headquartered in Invermere, BC. Our focus is on maximizing benefits and building capacity for the Shuswap Band and local community through sustainable partnerships, reliable income sources, career and upskilling opportunities, and self-performed operations. The majority of our business is centred around territorial opportunities, with a concentration on civil and earthworks construction projects, mining and forestry operations, leasehold agreements, and other industrial and environmental services.

About the Shuswap Band
Shuswap Band is an integral member of the Secwépemc Nation, a community that has resided in the south-central region of British Columbia, Canada, for countless generations. Spanning an expansive area of approximately 180,000 square kilometres across British Columbia and Alberta, the Secwépemc Traditional Territory holds a significant place in the province’s landscape. As one of the largest territories and caretaker regions in the region, it bears testimony to our enduring connection with the land and our rich history.
Central to the Shuswap culture is the deeply ingrained belief that the land thrives when treated with care and respect. As guardians of Secwépemcúl’ecw, the Shuswap Band holds a profound commitment to the land’s preservation and well-being, looking ahead to ensure its enduring health and prosperity for generations yet to come.
