Shuswap Woodlands Restoration Ltd (SWR), a 100% First Nation-owned company led by Shuswap Band Member Robert Martin, has been operating since 2009. SAFE Certified by BC Forest Safety and fully insured, its skilled workforce holds various certifications, including S100 Fire Suppression, certified faller, danger tree assessor, faller supervisor, and Heavy Equipment Operation. Specializing in civil earthworks, forestry mitigation, and project management, SWR aims for timely and budget-friendly completion, fostering positive relations with all stakeholders. With a proven track record of success, SWR has been pivotal in civil projects across Columbia Valley and beyond, including collaborations with multiple First Nations.
IDL Projects Inc.
IDL Projects Inc. (IDL), formed in 2005, is northern British Columbia’s largest general contractor. Their head office and shop are located in Prince George, BC. To ensure responsiveness to regional conditions, IDL has satellite offices in the many different communities where it provides construction services, including Vancouver, Prince Rupert, Kitimat, Kelowna, Terrace, and Fort St. John, BC. IDL is proficient in the construction areas of heavy civil and infrastructure, buildings/municipal civil and infrastructure, commercial, public and institutional, industrial, mining and safety services. Additionally, IDL and its affiliates complete over 350 projects each year, with a fleet of over 400 pieces of modern heavy equipment, a peak craft workforce of just under 1,000 persons and a management team of more than 50 experienced construction professionals.
